THERAPY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
I provide practical, problem-solving therapy giving young people the skills they need to succeed. Many young people find talking to parents difficult and need an independent, sympathetic person to turn to.
In my experience as a therapist I have found that young people most seek, simple, practical and effective techniques giving them the tools to handle anxiety, stress, self-esteem and other issues.

ANXIETY AND COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOUR
Most young people come to counselling with varying degrees of anxiety related issues. Most seek simple, practical techniques they can use to bring anxiety issues and anxiety related conditions under control. Managing to reduce their stressors, worries and insecurities and managing their anxieties enables most young people to become more relaxed and self assured.
SELF HARM
Self harm has become an increasingly common problem. Both my research and my experience of working with young people has shown me that self harm behaviour is a way to deal with anxiety, stress, low self esteem and other difficult challenges that the individual is experiencing at the current time. CBT therapy often gives young people the tools they need to control anxiety and become more confident.
